There's Still Time to Participate in the Malley's Fundraiser

Sales are now closed for the Indian River fruit sale, which had its best year yet in dollars raised! Students who participated in that fundraiser will be notified in the next few weeks of the pickup date for their fruit orders.

Students can continue to raise funds through the Malley's fundraiser until December 14. To get started, go to http://www.shakerbands.org/home/bandtripfundraiser.html and follow the prompts to register. You will also find answers to frequently asked questions there. All sales are conducted online and orders are shipped directly to customers, all you need to do is email them the link once you are registered!

The fundraiser provides Band Students the opportunity to raise money to help pay for their International Band Trip, which usually occurs every three years. Funds raised go directly into an individual account for each student who participates. The next trip is scheduled for the Spring of 2016 (location TBA).The cost for previous trips has been around $3,000. Students in grades 7 through 11 are encouraged to participate in this fundraiser. Even though 7th graders will not be included in the 2016 Band Trip, they can begin to raise money for the trip the band is scheduled to take in their Junior year.

Uniform Care after rainy game

Thank you to all of our fans who braved the elements on Saturday, we hope our new show was worth sitting in the rain for!  After this rainy game, please make sure uniforms and rain jackets are hung-up so they can dry out, not left in bags or rolled up.  Once dry, any mud on the pant legs can simply be brushed off or wiped away with a slightly damp rag.  Dry cleaning is not necessary.  Pants and shoes should be mud free for Friday night's game at North Royalton.

Another Schedule Change

Another great day of band camp, and we managed to avoid the rain (but not the mud)!

We have a schedule change to make you aware of, and it essentially returns us to the normal schedule we had put out in our information packet.  The next two days of band camp will be as follows:

Friday: Call time is TBA (between 9 AM and 10 AM) depending on rehearsals on Thursday for the Preview Show and Squad Day.  The Preview Show performance will be at 12 noon in the stadium, all are welcome.

The directors would like to thank the district administration and our band parents for their support and for accommodating our original schedule.
