Game #2 Guidelines and Memorization Checks

As we prepare for our first home game of the season, and the ribbon cutting on the new field and track, we would like to thank our leaders who have stepped up and memorized their music or dance routines.  Click here to see a list of those who will be performing Saturday's on the new field from memory.

Since home games are different from away games where we travel together, here are some guidelines to follow for all band members.

-Be on the practice field at 11 a.m. in summer uniform (band polo, white pants, black shoes, black belt)
-Stay on school property during breaks

-No food or drinks other than water are permitted in the band stands on the new track

-All band members should be in the band stands by 12:30 p.m. for pregame
-Stay in the band stands during the first, second, and fourth quarters
-Pay attention to the game, cheer and be prepared to stand and play

-Be back in the stands in time to play between the third and fourth quarters
-Attendance will be taken at the beginning of the fourth quarter
-Everyone stays to the end of the game (including playing alma mater if we win)
-Keep the stands clean of water bottles and music

"The Pride of Shaker Heights" has been working hard and we are looking forward to putting on a great show for our home crowd!

Friday's Game Video and "Let's Talk Turkey"

"The Pride of Shaker Heights" returned to the field in grand fashion on Friday night and put on a fantastic show, after only five days of rehearsal!  See the video of the halftime show here, or just wait to see it in person at our first home game this Saturday and the ribbon cutting for the new field.  Don't forget that games start at 1 p.m. this year.

The "Let's Talk Turkey" informational meeting for parents will be held this Tuesday, 8/28, at 7 p.m. in the high school Large Auditorium.  Students are welcome, but the meeting will be geared toward answering parent questions, and will include chaperone and shadow trip information.
