2013 International Tour
We are excited to announce that the Shaker Bands 2013 International Tour will be to Istanbul, Turkey. Istanbul is a city with a long history, and has been an intersection of cultures, religions, and empires for centuries. While on the trip, we will be touring Istanbul, including visiting markets, palaces, religious sites, and taking a lunch cruise on the Bosporus. Later in the tour we will travel through the Dardanelles region as we visit the ancient cities of Troy and Ephesus.
Thank you for your hard work to everyone involved in reaching this decision, including our student and parent committees and the district administrators who spent many hours researching potential destinations and discussing them with the directors and our tour managers, Grand Tours. Many of the details have already been worked out and you can view a PowerPoint presentation, including payment information and a tentative daily itinerary, here.

Ice Cream Social Tonight
We are still planning to have the Ice Cream Social concert on the front lawn of the High School this evening, but weather may force us to hold it in the North Gym. The concert starts at 6:30 pm.
Call time for Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band students is 5:30 pm to set up. Call time for the concert groups is 6:00 pm, and they will be responsible for tearing down after the performance.
Dress for all groups is casual and comfortable, but school appropriate.
