Here is a message from the uniform committee...
Welcome back! This is a reminder that all uniforms will be collected during first period Band the first day back to school after spring break, Tuesday, April 6. Students should bring their uniforms to their first period Band classroom where parent volunteers will facilitate the collection. Uniforms do not need to be dry cleaned before they are collected. If you have any questions, please contact Mary Hundert at 921-7133 or maryhundert@aol.com, or Lynn Yule at 991-2532 or lynn_yule@akzonobel.com.

Parade in Salzburg
The Shaker Band had an amazing experience today marching through the Mirabell Garden in Saltzburg, Austria and playing a concert on the Kapitalplatz with the Salzburg Police Band and the Stadtkapelle from Oberwalt, Austria. What a fantastic experience! We will have pictures and video up as soon as possible. Tomorrow we visit the salt mines that give Saltzburg its name, then we come back to the hotel for an Edelweiss dinner, and then it's time to pack! See you on Thursday!

Innsbruck News Article
Here is a "loose" translation of an article that appeared on an Innsbruck, Austria based website.
Massive and at the same time classy. This is something which Innsbruck hasn't experienced: About 250 musicians from Shaker Heights High School in Cleveland, Ohio, have practiced to fulfill their dreams to play in Innsbruck's city center. Monday morning, their dream will come true in the heart of Innsbruck. The students from Shaker Heights High School Band will play on Maria-Theresia Street, including songs like "Star Spangled Banner",the "Radetzky March" or the "Tritsch-Tratsch-Polka". From 11am, the youth will will bring their thunderous music to Prachtstraße. They traveled to the Riesenkapelle in six buses to the Tyrol (part of Austria). (TT)
Great job Shaker Band. Here's the link (in German).
